Teaching

From 1990 – 2017 I was an independent arts educator & creative mentor, running innovative workshops and residency programs in countless schools and other settings throughout Melbourne and across Tasmania.  Mainly I was known for my hands-on Creative Cartooning workshops, which taught children sophisticated drawing skills as well as inspiring creative thinking, well-being and emotional communication skills.  Over the years I also facilitated many projects related to creativity and well-being, in the areas of community arts, youth services and mental health. From 2002 – 2005 I initiated and directed the Bruny Kids Artzone Festival, Tasmania’s only children’s arts festival. This is a very incomplete archive-in-progress.
