OCT 2025 SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: Creative Cartooning Workshops

Hi everyone!

These Oct holidays I’m just offering 3 workshops: one TOTALLY RANDOM STUFF workshop (as part of the Embers In The South holiday program at WestWinds Community Centre), and two 3-hr CARTOONING INTENSIVES at the KIN Creative Space at Kingston Beach Hall.

My thINK Draw Connect Learn teaching approach is designed to open up infinite creative possibilities for anyone who loves to experiment with cartoon drawing. My workshops are designed for spontaneity, so that each one offers something new. You can come to as many as you like and the content will always vary.

Below are workshop details and descriptions.
To book, or if you have any questions, contact me (Bradfield) on: 0413 575 113 or bradfield@bradfielddumpleton.com

In this 2-hr format, I take random ideas from the group and mash them together to create imaginative cartoons on the whiteboard. I guide the group through various drawing tips and techniques as we plunge into the unknown together. A fun, hands-on, spontaneous drawing voyage of discovery, designed to inspire and entertain.

@ WestWinds Community Centre, 3528 Channel Hwy, Woodbridge

WED OCT 8:

9:45 – 11:45 am / Ages 9 – 12 / $28

All materials (and snacks) provided.

Book via Humanitix: https://events.humanitix.com/cartoonwoodbridge

These extended 3-hr workshops are for drawers with Intermediate skills, who enjoy staying drawing-focused for long bursts, and who are open to trying ways of drawing that might be different to their usual style.

I begin each session by demonstrating a range of simple but effective cartooning ELEMENTS that can be applied to any drawing style. These ELEMENTS are a way of deconstructing drawing into building blocks that can generate infinite new possibilities. After a short lunch break, the rest of the session is free-draw time for participants to experiment with the techniques. I also have a number of ‘random idea generator’ drawing games to get the group drawing into new territory.

IMPORTANT: BYO lunch or snacks – participants will need to stay onsite and cannot leave to buy lunch.
All materials provided.
