OCT 2014 HOBART HOLIDAY NEWS!!

PrintA fine selection of creative cartooning workshops on offer these Spring holidays, using drawing games & “experiments” to get the kids thinking in new ways about drawing technique, and to push them into new areas of their own creativity.  The focus is on fun skills, new perspectives, and  creative inspiration.  Warning: your children may want to keep drawing for a few days (or years) afterwards!

ALL WORKSHOPS are for ages 9 – 14 only

TUE OCT 7 – MYSTERY THEME! | 10am – 2pm | $40

COOPER SCREEN ACADEMY, 131 Macquarie St, Hobart

Let the Dice decide!  A cartoon workshop disguised as a 4-hr drawing game, in which the details of what we draw are unknown until we roll the dice!  Creative cartooning is an adventure into the imagination, your pencil is your light sabre!

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is 4 hours long, including a lunchbreak.  Please ensure your child brings enough food & drink for the day.  If you think your child will have difficulty focusing for that long, please find them a more suitable activity!

The ever-popular Totally Random!  Cartoon mash-up using random ideas from the group – Who knows what we’ll draw next?  You decide!  Let’s Draw!  To see some examples of past Totally Random workshops, look here & here!

1 – 3pm: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR SLUGBUNNY

A choose-your-own-adventure cartooning game, starring the ubiquitous & enigmatic Slugbunny, where the roll of a dice decides his cartoon fate!  If you’ve never met Slugbunny before, have a look here & here!

PLEASE NOTE: Children can attend one or both of the Kingston workshops.  If booked for both, please ensure your child brings enough food & drink for the day.
